Medication Providers

Nurse Practitioner

Deborah Price, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC, OTR/L

Deborah joined the staff of Integrated Wellness Counseling Center during the New Year of 2026. She originally entered healthcare because she felt drawn to a profession that provided healing to those in pain. Deborah has worked in healthcare since 1992 in multiple settings including inpatient, outpatient, home health and skilled nursing facilities. There isn’t much in healthcare she hasn’t seen.

Deborah began her career as an Occupational Therapist with a focus on helping patients gain greater independence and quality of life by addressing physical, cognitive and emotional challenges. She was commissioned as an active-duty officer with the rank of Captain in the US Army Medical Corp at Madigan Army Medical Center in Ft. Lewis, Washington. She became interested in working in psychiatry by her work with soldiers suffering from PTSD. Following her military discharge with commendation she attended Vanderbilt University. She graduated from Vanderbilt as a nurse practitioner with a specialty in psychiatry. She has experience in multiple areas of behavioral health including a year of training in consultation-liaison psychiatry while working in adult and geriatric psychiatry for a Mayo Clinic satellite hospital. Deborah later completed a certification in Family Practice through Allen College in Waterloo, IA in order to provide more holistic care for folks. She believes healing starts with listening and looking at the whole person.

Deborah is a transplant to Iowa being originally from Tennessee. She loves living in Iowa and especially appreciates “Iowa niceness”. She enjoys gardening, hiking and traveling to new places. She believes in having a balanced life. Her love for what she does finds her always staying up-to-date on the latest research and treatments for her patients.

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Medication Management

Kaylee Lenz, PMHNP

Kaylee spent the first ten years of her nursing career in the hospital setting working with patients suffering medical and psychiatric issues. After working on the inpatient unit, she transitioned to serving as behavioral health resource for the hospital where she supported patients and families navigating mental health resources in times of crisis. It was in this role that Kaylee was exposed to the gap between mental health services from the acute hospitalization to discharging home with necessary services and supports. Her hope as an outpatient provider is to help bridge the gap in these services by empowering and supporting patients to be successful and lead fulfilling lives.

She’s skilled at working with persons of all ages, but Kaylee’s “sweet spot” is working with children and teens. She was first drawn to the pediatric population from her lived experience of having a younger brother who struggled with mental health from childhood. Kaylee witnessed the limitations of care in pediatric mental health and the strain it puts on families seeking care. Kaylee knows that mental health impacts all areas of our lives - relationships, families, academics/career, and overall wellbeing.

Kaylee’s philosophy of practice is client centered and family focused; she values a holistic wellness approach to mental health management and believes that psychotherapy, medication, and lifestyle changes have the biggest impact on improving wellbeing and mental wellness. In her free time (what’s that!?) she's chasing after her kiddos or has her nose in a good book. She loves being around her family and friends, and enjoys adventuring whenever possible.

Therapist

Cayla King, t-LMHC

Cayla believes therapy works best when it focuses on the whole person, not just symptoms and diagnoses. Her approach is warm, collaborative, directive, and holistic, recognizing that mental health is deeply connected to the body, relationships, daily habits, and lived experiences. Cayla believes each individual already possesses inner strengths, and she views therapy as a space to uncover, strengthen, and reconnect with those internal resources.

Cayla works with adolescents ages 12 and up and adults navigating depression, anxiety, relationship concerns, body image and eating-related struggles, life transitions, and identity concerns, including sexual orientation, gender identity, and self-acceptance. She strives to create an affirming, nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe exploring who they are and what matters most to them.

Her therapeutic approach is integrative and tailored to each client’s unique needs. Cayla draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Adlerian theory. This framework allows her to focus on values, emotional regulation, self-compassion, insight into relational patterns, and understanding how past experiences shape present behavior. She also incorporates mind–body awareness and explores lifestyle factors such as stress, routines, and overall well-being as part of the healing process.

In her free time, Cayla enjoys adventuring outdoors with her beloved dogs, curling up with a good book, binge-watching the newest true crime documentary, or sipping espresso at a local coffee shop.
