Providers

We are proud of the team we’ve put together at Integrated Wellness Counseling Center. Our providers are compassionate experts in their fields who are dedicated to helping you achieve your mental health goals.

Kaylee Lenz, PMHNP

Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and Medication Management

Kaylee spent the first ten years of her nursing career in the hospital setting working with patients suffering  medical and psychiatric issues. After working on the inpatient unit, she transitioned to serving as behavioral health resource for the hospital where she supported patients and families navigating mental health resources in times of crisis. It was in this role that Kaylee was exposed to the gap between mental health services from the acute hospitalization to discharging home with necessary services and supports. Her hope as an outpatient provider is to help bridge the gap in these services by empowering and supporting patients to be successful and lead fulfilling lives.

She’s skilled at working with persons of all ages, but Kaylee’s “sweet spot” is working with children and teens. She was first drawn to the pediatric population from her lived experience of having a younger brother who struggled with mental health from childhood. Kaylee witnessed the limitations of care in pediatric mental health and the strain it puts on families seeking care. Kaylee knows that mental health impacts all areas of our lives – relationships, families, academics/career, and overall wellbeing.

Kaylee’s philosophy of practice is client centered and family focused; she values a holistic wellness approach to mental health management and believes that psychotherapy, medication, and lifestyle changes have the biggest impact on improving wellbeing and mental wellness. In her free time (what’s that!?) she’s chasing after her kiddos or has her nose in a good book. She loves being around her family and friends, and enjoys adventuring whenever possible.

Natalie Berto-Ecklund, LISW

Owner/Therapist
natalie@integratedwellnesscounselingcenter.com

Natalie knows that every individual, family, and community has strengths. There’s no magic wand to solve all of your problems, but Natalie will walk alongside you as you work towards your goals. She especially enjoys helping those with anxiety, family life cycle issues, boundaries, life transitions, career stress, school-related issues, and teens transitioning to adulthood.

Natalie graduated in 2013 from the University of Iowa with her master’s in social work and spent the next several years working in end-of-life care, hospital social work, and outpatient psychiatry. She transitioned into the private practice world in 2018.

When Natalie’s not working, she can be found covered in flour working on her latest cake creation, walking her four-legged friends, playing in the dirt, and being in nature. She enjoys consuming copious amounts of coffee, naps, and connecting with fellow humans.

Bridget Brenton, LISW

Owner/Therapist
bridget@integratedwellnesscounselingcenter.com

Bridget believes that all individuals come to therapy with a desire to learn about themselves, and navigating that process can feel intimidating. She values authenticity and directness in working with others and prides herself in challenging clients to make decisions that align with their values and goals.

Bridget has an extensive history in the social services world. She worked in the nonprofit sector, providing services in school and working in healthcare before transitioning into private practice. She draws on this vast experience to connect with a diverse client population that includes teens, couples, older adults, and individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, and other life stressors.

During Bridget’s free time, she enjoys traveling and spending time cooking for family and friends. She can be spotted walking into a hot yoga class for her own relaxation.

Mackinze Thill, t-LMHC

Therapist

Hi, I’m Mackinze—and I’m deeply passionate about walking alongside individuals on their journey toward healing, growth, and self-discovery. I became a counselor because I genuinely value meaningful connections and feel honored to support people through both the triumphs and the challenges that life brings. It’s a privilege to witness your story—the raw, honest moments that shape who you are—and I strive to create a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space where you can feel seen, heard, and valued.

My goal is to meet you exactly where you are. Whether you’re navigating a life transition, processing trauma, or working through mental health challenges, I am here to support you with empathy, respect, and an individualized approach. Together, we’ll explore your experiences, build on your strengths, and work toward creating the life you want to live.

I bring a diverse background to my counseling work, including experience in the criminal justice system, social work, community mental health, and nursing. This wide-ranging professional foundation helps me approach each client with a deeper understanding of the complexities that can impact mental health—whether it’s systemic barriers, trauma histories, or medical and social challenges. My experience in these areas has strengthened my ability to support individuals from diverse backgrounds with compassion and clarity.

Professional Experience & Therapeutic Approach
I have worked with children (ages 10+), teens, and adults facing a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, personality disorders, trauma, grief, and self-harm. I also have experience supporting individuals recovering from sexual assault, domestic violence, and other forms of trauma.

My therapeutic approach is collaborative, compassionate, and tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. I draw from a variety of evidence-based and integrative modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Narrative Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). I also incorporate mindfulness practices and a strengths-based perspective to help clients build resilience, develop self-awareness, and reconnect with their innate capacity for healing and growth.

I prioritize creating a strong therapeutic relationship founded on trust, authenticity, and mutual respect. My goal is to provide a safe, supportive environment where you can explore your experiences, gain new insights, and take meaningful steps toward the life you want to live.

Who I Work With
I provide counseling for children (ages 10+), adolescents, young adults, and adults. I work with individuals navigating a wide range of challenges, including trauma and PTSD, emotional regulation difficulties, identity exploration, grief and loss, and major life transitions. I also support clients dealing with relationship challenges, mood and personality disorders, workplace stress, career uncertainty, and difficulties setting healthy boundaries.

I am particularly passionate about helping individuals who are seeking deeper self-awareness, emotional healing, personal growth, and more fulfilling relationships—both with others and with themselves. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply ready for change, I offer a supportive space to explore your experiences and work toward lasting well-being.
